The Positive Psychology Practice
Pioneering in person-centred coaching for sustained wellbeing
About

Positive Psychology Practitioner & Mental Health Advocate
Rather than simply selling happiness, supporting you towards sustainable wellbeing is at the very heart of what I do. My services aim to support clients with self-discovery, help actualise their goals, recognise and capitalise on their strengths, achieve a sense of meaning and purpose, improve quality of life and maintain overall wellbeing. This is a safe space to lean into your human-ness.
I am qualified in Positive Psychology and have also worked within the NHS primary mental health care service. I have successfully delivered thousands of hours of quality coaching sessions for a variety of clients. I am able to offer evidence-based coaching interventions which have the potential to generate compelling transformation for individuals, communities & businesses.
In an age of excessive production, excessive consumption, excessive tech reliance, excessive information, you might feel originality, motivation and inspiration dwindle; as if the vibrancy of life is fading. Yet, I believe there is still greatness to be discovered. In a rapidly changing world, where many feel lost, idle, stuck, dull, depleted and disconnected; let me help you to revive and reignite your love for life, your creativity, curiosity, interest and joy.
Let’s be realistic, no matter who you are, life’s challenges are inevitable. The importance is in how we cope with them. As well as facilitating self-growth, I aim to create clarity by teaching techniques to better manage everyday mental health strains such as stress and anxiety.
I enjoy working closely with my clients to understand them, their journey and their vision as a whole. My coaching style is always tailored towards my clients. Every journey is individual, and that’s why I take a person-centered, empathetic & non-judgmental approach. Empathy and honesty are very important to me.
I launched The Positive Psychology Practice to bring you the science of wellbeing and flourishing, along with guidance on how to make the most of it throughout life. Through my work, I feel delighted in observing progress within all my clients. I look forward to helping you too.

What is Positive Psychology?
Positive Psychology is the science of wellbeing. It is a subdivision of traditional Psychology which studies how people live well and flourish.
In practice, Positive Psychology places it’s emphasis on “building-on”, rather than “fixing”. Contrary to what the subject name might suggest, Positive Psychology is inclusive of life’s fluctuations – the highs and the lows; the comfort and the discomfort. In fact, life’s “negative” aspects are fundamental to the discipline. As an applied science, Positive Psychology not only looks at how to build on what is already going well, but also how to exercise resilience, improve or prosper in the face of adversity.
Introduced by Martin Seligman in 1998, the discipline of Positive Psychology had been brought to light as traditional Psychology often studied human pathology, mental illness, dysfunction & disorder. Positive Psychology is the area of Psychology which investigates healthy human functioning, what makes people feel fulfilled, and what enables them to overcome life’s challenges. Though a contemporary science, Positive Psychology shares roots in Humanistic Psychology, most prominent in the mid-20th century. Today, Positive Psychology has had an extensive role in researching valuable interventions like mindfulness and gratitude, which are now well-known among society and commonly advocated by mental health professionals.
Positive Psychology uses scientific research methods to generate evidence-based interventions which can identify, encourage and cultivate positive emotions, experiences, character traits and strengths. Positive Psychology coaching provides a means for applying such interventions to support individuals and communities in all areas of life. Interventions can also be used to increase self-awareness, find meaning or purpose, encourage hope, motivate, overcome barriers, achieve goals, manage day-to-day stress and much more. Overall, Positive Psychology coaching aims to apply the science which can improve our quality of life and sense of wellbeing, so that we can be our best self in the circumstances we live in.
